Reporting to the Corporate Financial manager, you will be responsible for:
- Preparation of monthly consolidation financial statements and deliver to the manager for review upon completion.
- Consolidation of annual budgets for the company
- Consolidation of quarterly forecasts for the company
- Preparation of supporting schedules for the management discussion and analysis of financial results on a quarterly basis
- Preparation and issue of routine external reporting
- Preparation of annual budget process
- Preparation of quarterly forecast results
- Preparation of corporate income tax returns and maintain monthly tax working paper files for the company
- Issuing of payments on approved invoices, record transactions, close financial statements, and file tax returns
- Assisting in design, development and implementation of strong internal control processes to provide timely and accurate financial statements
- Participation in all safety initiatives, as required
- Participation in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned
- Active participation in the review and recommendation of changes to ensure that the Corporate teams processes are current, effective, documented and accessible, and used consistently
- Proactively nominate ideas for consideration as part of the annual budget cycle, focused on improving business processes, reducing complexity, increasing standardization or having other tangible benefits
- Keep abreast of industry best practices that may impact corporate policies and procedures
Requirements:
- College Diploma with a major in Accounting and 5 to 7 years of related experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Completion of an Accounting designation (CMA,CGAor CA)
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members
- Communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to work with a variety of people in a team environment, including individuals at an executive level
- Ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of financial statement preparation and reporting
- Demonstrated professionalism when dealing with financial information
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external associates
- Proven organizational and time management skills in order to effectively manage multiple priorities and competing demands within tight deadlines
- Demonstrated analytical skills with an attention to detail in
- Demonstrated initiative in recognizing opportunities for improvement and efficiency
- A willingness to learn
- Working knowledge of tax return preparation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other Financial Reporting software
The salary for this position is up to $66,000 dependent on experience.
